Effective Date: August 6, 2026
Company: Earo Technologies Ltd.
Guitar Earo (the "App," "Service," "website," or "we/us/our") is owned and operated by Earo Technologies Ltd., a company registered in the United Kingdom. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Guitar Earo, including our mobile application, website at earo.app, and related content.
By creating an account, tapping accept, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Guitar Earo teaches guitar tone through structured listening practice, comparison exercises, library playback, and related educational features. Features, content, and pricing may change over time. Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro") or other paid access.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 13).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Our Content — Recordings, Photos, and Media (Important)
All guitar recordings, audio samples, photographs, videos, graphics, text, trademarks, logos, lesson materials, UI design, databases, and other materials in the Service ("Our Content") are owned by Earo Technologies Ltd. or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Limited license. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Our Content only inside the Service for your own learning and personal non-commercial use, while your account is in good standing.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- Download, rip, capture, screen-record, or extract Our Content (including guitar recordings and photos) for use outside the App, except where the App itself provides an explicit share or export feature
- Copy, redistribute, publish, upload, or re-host Our Content on websites, social media, marketplaces, sample packs, or other apps
- Use Our Content commercially — including in products, courses, ads, plugins, libraries, or paid services
- Use Our Content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve machine-learning or AI systems
- Create derivative works from Our Content for distribution (remixes, sample packs, tone packs, etc.)
- Remove watermarks, credits, or proprietary notices
- Circumvent technical measures that protect Our Content
Sharing your own results. Where the App offers share cards, challenge results, or similar features, you may share those outputs as the App presents them. That does not grant rights to the underlying recordings, photos, or other source media.
Unauthorized use of Our Content is a breach of these Terms and may infringe our intellectual property rights. We may investigate, suspend access, and pursue available legal remedies.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- Paid plans are billed through the app store or payment provider shown at checkout (for example, Apple App Store).
- Prices, plan names, and benefits may change; changes will be shown before you purchase or renew where required by law or store rules.
- Refunds and cancellations are handled under the rules of the store or payment provider you used, and under applicable consumer law.
- Access to Pro features ends when your subscription lapses, subject to any grace period we or the store provide.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to reverse engineer the Service
- Scrape, bulk-download, or automate access to Our Content beyond normal App use
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Interfere with other users or with our systems
6. User Content
If you submit content to us (for example support messages, feedback, or optional uploads), you grant Earo Technologies Ltd. a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use that material to operate, improve, and support the Service. You remain responsible for what you submit and must have the rights to submit it.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third parties (for example authentication, analytics, cloud hosting, or app stores). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
8. Disclaimers
The Service and Our Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that listening practice will produce any particular skill outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Earo Technologies Ltd. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) £50, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Our Content / IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. For material changes, we may also notify you in the App or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may also have mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
